Plenty of times I’ve heard people complaining about gender-based order of speakers and prayers during sacrament meeting. People say that it’s a sexist practice of the church (or of an individual ward/branch, or its leaders) to always start with the men.

Well, in my branch today I gave the opening prayer and a brother gave the closing. And with two people giving talks, the sister spoke first. :)

It’s not a big deal, and I don’t think this is unusual but it made me happy anyway.
